Los tres Vaqueros? Los tres Magueyes?

Los Tres Vaqueros used to be Los Tres Magueyes, might still be I’m not really sure I was a little confused by it all, but all I know is once again the food was good! Located in the shopping center on the corner of Falls of the Neuse and Strickland, it is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in Raleigh. TheĀ chips and salsa are so good! I don’t know but I think they put something in that salsa because once you start you can’t stop! The quesadilla and burrito I had was really good, the atmosphere made me smile, but the best part was this massive burrito. Apparently if you can eat their 18″ burrito you win a free t-shirt! But thisĀ just isn’t any burrito not only is it 18″ but it also has beans, rice and a meat and you have to eat the ENTIRE thing to get the shirt! Anyone up for it..or have you already done it? Let me know, I’d love to hear how it was..especially the next day!

They are the same, just a change in name, that all.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for several years now. I’m not sure if they have a different owner or not or why they changed the name. I did notice that the prices went up by .50 on everything! In this economy they might want to lower the prices since more people are probably curbing their eating out budget. The owner seems to be a bit stingy. If you eat in the restaurant you will probably go through two small bowls of salsa, yet if you get a take out they will only give you a small cup of salsa which is about half of the bowl size in the restaurant. I went ahead and asked for a 2nd one with my take-out.
